Proverbs 6:16-19 NKJV
These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: [17] A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, [19] A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

Isaiah 40:8,10-15,18,21-22,26,28-31 MEV
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God shall stand forever. [10] See, the Lord GOD will come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; see, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. [11] He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. [12] Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and calculated the dust of the earth by the measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? [13] Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or as His counselor has taught Him? [14] With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of justice, and taught Him knowledge, and showed to Him the way of understanding? [15] Certainly the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; He takes up the coastlands as a very little thing. [18] To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him? [21] Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? [22] It is He who sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants are as grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in. [26] Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one of them is missing. [28] Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint, nor is He weary? His understanding is inscrutable. [29] He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. [30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, [31] but those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

1 John 4:1 NKJV - "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God."
John 14:26 NKJV
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV - "For God is not the author of confusion but of peace."
God will never tell you to do something that goes directly against something He already taught in His Word, the Bible. He doesn't make up special rules just for you. He isn't tossed back and forth like the waves on the seashore. He keeps His Word to the fullest extent. If you're wondering if you should do something or not, go see what His Word already says on the subject.

1 Peter 3:15-18 NKJV
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; [16] having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. [17] For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. [18] For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

Psalm 40:1-5,8,11,13,16-17 MEV
I waited patiently for the LORD, and He turned to me, and heard my cry. [2] He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and established my steps. [3] He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God; many will see it, and fear, and will trust in the LORD. [4] Blessed is the man who places trust in the LORD, but does not turn toward the proud, nor those falling away to falsehood. [5] O LORD my God, You have done many wonderful works, and Your thoughts toward us cannot be compared; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. [8] I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my inward parts." [11] Do not withhold Your compassion from me, O LORD; may Your lovingkindness and Your truth always guard me. [13] Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me; O LORD, make haste to help me. [16] May all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love Your salvation say continually, "The LORD is magnified." [17] But I am poor and needy; yet the LORD thinks about me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God.

Ephesians 4:22-32 MEV
that you put off the former way of life in the old nature, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, [23] and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; [24] and that you put on the new nature, which was created according to God in righteousness and true holiness. [25] Therefore, putting away lying, let every man speak truthfully with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. [26] Be angry but do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your anger. [27] Do not give place to the devil. [28] Let him who steals steal no more. Instead, let him labor, working with his hands things which are good, that he may have something to share with him who is in need. [29] Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, that it may give grace to the listeners. [30] And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you are sealed for the day of redemption. [31] Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outbursts, and blasphemies, with all malice, be taken away from you. [32] And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.
