The second annual SAFE Dinner Theater Fundraiser benefiting the Lampasas Animal Shelter was a huge success! Every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting the animals, staff, and facilities at the shelter.

An event like this wouldn’t be possible without the help of some amazing people and businesses:

-Maureen Adams wrote and directed this year’s murder mystery dinner, Beam Me Up... There’s Been a Murder, and the incredible actors that brought it to life
-Our sponsors: Garrett Management, Scouting America Alumni, Random and Routine Services, and Isom Veterinary Hospital.
-The Venue at Wildflower Hill generously donated the use of their beautiful venue.
-512 Smokers prepared the delicious meat for dinner.

We’re grateful to everyone who purchased a ticket, donated an auction item, spread the word, or who supports our mission throughout the year. Our animals are lucky to have such a caring and generous community behind them, and we couldn’t do this without you!

Raven is doing well after her surgery and will be headed to a rescue partner tomorrow to continue her care.

🚨 RAVEN NEEDS OUR HELP 🚨

Raven is only 8 months old, and she needs your help.

This sweet, medium-sized mixed breed was hit by a car and suffered a badly broken back leg. We were able to locate her owners, but unfortunately, they are not in a position to provide the veterinary care needed to save her leg and give her the chance she deserves.

Right now, Raven is being kept as comfortable as possible with pain medication and strict confinement, but this is only temporary. She needs surgery as soon as possible.

Raven is just a baby. She should have years of running, playing, getting into trouble, and being somebody’s best friend ahead of her. We badly want to give her that chance—but we’re going to need some help getting her there.

❤️ We are asking for donations toward Raven’s surgery and medical care. Every $5, $10, $20 donation adds up. If you can’t donate, sharing her story helps too.

We don’t know exactly what Raven’s future will look like yet, but we know one thing: we want to give her the chance to have one.

🚨 SAFE Lampasas – We Need You 🚨

We’ve got two puppies who need us… and we’re not backing down.

Meet Tailgate and Lemonade — sweet, happy babies who should be worrying about toys and snacks… not pain. But both of them are dealing with severe hip dysplasia and will need surgery on both hips to live the life they deserve.

We’ve reached out far and wide to rescues.
We’ve asked. We’ve waited.
And this time… help isn’t coming.

So we’re doing what we always do — stepping up. Because “no” just isn’t an option when lives are on the line.

💔 This is the reality of careless breeding. When parents aren’t health tested, it’s the puppies who pay the price.

❤️ But here’s the other reality: we have a community that shows up.

To get started, we need to raise $5,000 for the first phase of surgery.

👉 We also need committed fosters to help them recover after surgery. They’re going to need quiet places, patience, and a whole lot of love.

Tailgate and Lemonade didn’t get a fair start… but we can give them a fair shot.
