I had one of the nicest experiences at work.
I had a patron order two drinks that came to $7. The gentleman handed me a $20 bill, I gave him his $13 in change and thanked him again. He said "That's for you." I replied "Oh no sir, that's way too much, but I'll take a dollar."
He looked at me and said just give it all back. With that I did. Hoped I hadn't offended him and I felt so bad. But there was nothing else I could do.
He looked down at his money and he was counting and he said, "Ma'am, why didn't you keep it?", I said "Oh sir I was grateful for the tip but I didn't need that much." He said "Do you not mostly work for tips?" and I said yes sir I do. He said "It is refreshing to find somebody that cares more about their job and the service rather than the almighty dollar. You greeted me with a smile you gave me great service. Here, this is for you." He smiled and walked away I looked in my hand and he had given me a $20 bill. Honestly I smiled not because of the huge tip...but because I had did a Great Job and it was noticed!

The Community Kitchen - Lampasas will be back serving at the Lampasas VFW Post 8539 Canteen this Tuesday. They will have Meatball Subs with a side and desert!!! Everyone Come See Them starting at 10:30 until gone!!! Get there early.
Meals are Free, but Donations Greatly Appreciated! Every little bit helps to keep them serving our community.
