We are honored to share a few messages from Malinda Harris Limberhand, mother of Hanna Harris.

Hanna’s story, and her mother’s relentless fight for justice, are why May 5th is recognized as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

With Mother’s Day in mind, we want to recognize Malinda as an unwavering example of a mother’s love and a mother’s courage. Her strength has helped carry this movement forward for families, survivors, and communities fighting for justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

We ask you to listen, share, and remember why this work matters.

On May 5th, we held a second rally at the Big Horn County Courthouse in Hardin, Montana, in recognition of the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

The highlight of the day was the powerful presence of the Hardin High School Indigenous Club, with over 38 students participating. We could hear their chants from blocks away:

“No More Stolen Sisters.”

“Say their names.”

They shouted the names of Kaysera, Selena, Henny and other MMIP loved ones who should still be here.

It touched our hearts deeply. These young people are the future of this movement. Their voices, courage, and willingness to stand up are crucial in helping end this crisis.

Pretty Eagle Woman Resources was proud to help hold space with MMIP families, youth, relatives, and community members at the Big Horn County Courthouse. The presence of our young people reminded us that this movement continues through the next generation, and when we gather together, our message cannot be ignored.

We are stronger together.

Thank you to Native Voices Rising, and Women's Foundation of Montana for supporting this important work.

On May 5th, we gathered for our MMIP March in recognition of the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

This day was especially powerful as we honored Hanna, Marquez, and Arshanda on their Heavenly Birthdays. We carried their names, their memories, and the love their families continue to hold for them.

Pretty Eagle Woman Resources was honored to stand with MMIP families, relatives, and community members. The turnout was strong, and the presence of everyone who showed up made a powerful statement: our loved ones are not forgotten.

When families and community come together, our voices are amplified. We are stronger together.

Say their names. Remember their stories. Keep showing up.

Thank you to Native Voices Rising, Women's Foundation of Montana, for supporting this important work.

We had the honor to be invited to participate and support this MMIP Awareness Run along with MIKA MATTERS. It was especially special when grandson Baby Dane showed up to advocate for his dad. It was a beautiful day to honor our loved ones lost to the MMIWP CRISIS.
Special thanks to Omaste Foster, a UM student and friend of Kaysera's family for doing an awesome job!
