A sneak peek of one of the 8 gorgeous gardens featured on Kalmia Club’s 28th annual Hidden Gardens of Lambertville Tour. Thanks to our incredible gardeners, Lorraine and Paul Schermerhorn, and their multi-tiered wonderland up on Music Mountain, aka Squad Hill. Come see the entire garden and 7 other private outdoor inspirations Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

The self-guided walking tour invites visitors inside gardens rarely open to the public while raising funds for scholarships for local young women at New Hope-Solebury, South Hunterdon Regional and Hunterdon Central high schools, community outreach and historic preservation.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the tour. Start at the Kalmia Club’s historic pink clubhouse at 39 York St., for tickets, maps and details on each garden. Buy tickets at kalmiaclub.org or Bucks on Bridge, 25 Bridge St., Lambertville. See you there!

Our May Kalmia Club meeting featured a truly moving presentation from member Julie Davidson Meyers, who shared the remarkable story behind her daughter’s homework assignment involving a doll and their family’s Holocaust history.

What began as a simple school project grew into an unexpected connection with a researcher in Germany, leading to photographs, reunions and meaningful moments that helped preserve family memories across generations and across the world. Julie’s slideshow and storytelling were heartfelt, hopeful and a beautiful reminder of the importance of remembrance, connection and kindness.

Many thanks to Program Coordinator Gwen Zack for bringing us this unforgettable program.

At our April Kalmia Club meeting, we were treated to an inspiring presentation from traveler and travel advisor Erin O’Leary. Erin shared her journey from a completely different career into the world of travel planning, along with beautiful stories and photos from some of the amazing places she has visited over the years.
She also gave practical tips for planning trips and explained why working with a travel agent can make all the difference when navigating today’s overwhelming online options. It was a fun, informative night that left many of us dreaming about our next adventure!

Thank you to Program Coordinator Maria Souza for arranging such an engaging program.
