Hello everyone:

Please join us this Sunday the 15th at the Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, PA for our yearly fundraising walk to benefit the Preserve. Miles Arnott, curator of plants, botanist, and tour guide extraordinaire, will be leading us on this expedition through the deer-free grounds to look at whatever is blooming and listening to whoever is peeping right now.

We meet at noon at the Visitors' Center. Refreshments and snacks will be served afterwards. Proposed donation of $100 per person is to be made directly to the BHWP.

For directions and lists of what is currently on show, please visit www.bhwp.org.

Please let me know if you are planning to attend.

best,

Suzanne

Hello everyone:

The Foundation of Friends is getting ready for a mushroom-identification walk on Sunday, October 9th, exact time (noonish) and place (around Lambertville, NJ) to be determined. This will benefit the kind folks at the New Jersey Conservation Foundation who helped me get a variance for a deer fence permit. The NJCF staff busies itself with saving and protecting land all around here, they are invaluable.

Nina Burghardt and her husband will be walking us through a local wooded land for a couple of hours. $50 per person should cover it, with checks written directly to the NJCF. Some kind of rich and fattening snack to be served at some point, coupled with beverages. October 9th is supposed to be sunny and 70’, perfect mushroom walk weather. (I made that up).

Please let me know if you are interested. Also, as always, please let me know if you would like to put together your own fundraiser for all of us to support. For more information on the Foundation of Friends, check us out at www.foundationoffriends.org

Let me know if you would like to join.

Best,

Suzanne
