Lamar Chamber Welcome to the Lamar Chamber of Commerce page where we share information about community businesses and events.

Visit our website for more information www.lamarchamber.org. Prowers County represents rural life at its finest. The wholesome vitality of our friendly, attractive communities reflect the diversity of our agricultural heritage coupled with the opportunities of modern technology and exportation of renewable energy. The City of Lamar (County Seat of Prowers County) serves as the industrial and retail center for the southeastern region of Colorado. Located in the midst of the fertile Arkansas River Valley, our surrounding agricultural landscape features wide-open spaces with panoramic views of irrigated corn and alfalfa fields, as well as dryland wheat fields. This semi-arid climate is very favorable to livestock production and offers an average of 340 days of sunshine annually. The Lamar Chamber of Commerce website is a wonderful resource for a list of our Chamber Membership, Community Calendars and Special Events, Links to other community pages, and general information about our community. Think serving on the Chamber Board is just another monthly meeting? Think again. 😉

It's planning a parade and then watching Main Street fill with people.

It's helping turn an idea for an event into something hundreds of people enjoy.

It's meeting a local business owner you've never talked to before.

It's making connections throughout Lamar.

It's helping solve problems, bringing new ideas to the table, working alongside other volunteers and seeing the results of your work firsthand.

And yes… sometimes it's moving tables, hanging banners, setting things up and doing whatever needs to be done. 😂

That's community involvement.

We're looking for board members who aren't afraid to get involved and want to be part of something bigger.

We have 3 openings NOW and 5 more coming in January.

Interested?
