ACT 4 Food ACT 4 Food is a group of community leaders and members who either work with, or have an interest in helping the food insecure in Barton County.

• 42% of Barton County residents are eligible for the SNAP (food stamp) program, but don’t utilize the available resources. This results in $4.5 million unclaimed dollars that could be spent in Barton County that would increase tax revenue, help create jobs, and feed the hungry.
• A.C.T. 4 Food spent over $4,000 in its first year to buy storage equipment for AOK and the Good Samaritan to help them

feed the hungry in Barton County
• We have three goals for this year:
1. Perform a community assessment
2. Identify and inventory food related groups
3. Reach the under-served and recruit representatives
• We need your help to spread the word so we can all make healthy food accessible for all residents of Barton County.
