Tim Forst Memorial Scholarship Foundation The Tim Forst Memorial Scholarship Foundation provides financial aid to graduating students of LCTC In 2011, Tim passed away in a tragic accident.

The Tim Forst Memorial Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. It was set up in memory of a loved one who had a knack for mechanics and a drive for success. Tim Forst was a beloved son, brother, and husband, and a friend to many. He graduated at the top of his class at WyoTech where he studied diesel technology. He later took root in Carl Junction, MO where he continued his tra

de and married a loving wife. The community of Lamar, MO offered incredible support to his family during this very difficult time. The Forst family wanted to repay the community while fostering the spirit that was so strong in their loved one. Thus, the Tim Forst Memorial Scholarship was created. The foundation is a non-profit organization and hosts an annual shoot-out to raise funds for the scholarship. As of September 2021, $28,500 has been awarded to students who have demonstrated an aptitude and a drive for success in their field. Awards are paid out on proof of enrollment in a college, university or technical school of their choosing.

Since we started, you’ve helped us donate over $82,250 to high school seniors entering the trades! $20,000 was awarded last spring, marking our biggest year yet!

THANK YOU to everyone who has come together to help us celebrate the life of our beloved son, Tim. His spirit lives on, not only in the scholarships but in the comradery we feel at this event every year.

You all help us turn heartache into years of support for the next generation of laborers. That’s remarkable and you helped make it happen.
