8 year old "Hallie" is dropped off by the caseworker with her brother and sister at a nice home with nice people, but she's so scared because she doesn't know who they are. Time passes and within only one year of being in foster care she's lived in four different homes and attended five different schools. She's crying as she shares her innermost fears, looks up with innocent blue eyes and asks, "I
f God really loved us, why would he let us be in foster care?"
This is a real life story shared with us by one of Hope Valley Ranch’s board members who counsels children in foster care. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” Hope Valley Ranch exists to be the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching out to serve our most vulnerable, our modern day orphans. For some, they have experienced years of abandonment, neglect, and abuse. Our prayer at Hope Valley Ranch is to provide these children with the love of Jesus, and provide them opportunities for healing and growth.
