The mission of Joe's Organization for Youth (JOY) is to provide the necessary goods for the underprivileged youth to ensure that every child pursues their goals, develops a strong work ethic, and remains confident that regardless of their condition they can thrive and accomplish their goals. The goal of the organization is to provide goods specific to a child's personality and life goals and aspirations so they may be able to express themselves and flourish in their passions. My organization appreciates the talents and creativity of each child and hopes that by understanding the desires and aspirations of each child it may provide specified goods and resources so that each child may hone their craft and get closer to accomplishing their dreams, regardless of their social class, hence ensuring the joy of each individual child.

JOY was thrilled to support this year’s CHiPs For Kids Holiday Toy Drive with Assemblymember Solache (). For 12 years, we have proudly partnered with cities in the district, and we are especially honored to work with and help bring JOY to children this season. Since starting this organization over 10 years ago, one of the founding promises of JOY was to give back to my ancestral homeland of Armenia. Over the years, the organization has supported Armenia in many ways, consistently sending aid and working with local volunteers. This year, I was finally able to make the journey as well.

We traveled to the village of Parpi, going home to home to bring children brand new school supplies, clothing, and toys. This is a small glimpse into some of the trip. In addition to their daily hardships, some have also endured the loss of their fathers in the war. To see their faces light up is truly remarkable to witness.

JOY has always been about delivering hope and tangible support. Thank you to everyone who believes in our mission and makes moments like this possible. 🙏

The team at JOY has been distraught seeing the innocent Armenians caught in the devastating war and humanitarian crisis in Artsakh. This past summer, the organization continued its efforts in Armenia by providing direct aid to families who lost fathers and sons in the war. The photos capture multiple homes visited in a village near Lake Sevan, where these families received brand new-clothing and essential items. Thank you to our generous donors for your support.

Last night, JOY’s Founder and President, Joe Kaprielian, was honored with the prestigious Humanitarian Award at the AIM Fund’s 20th Anniversary Gala, awarded to acknowledge JOY’s decade-long commitment to providing aid to young people in need both in the US and in Armenia. Kaprielian also received recognition from the United States Congress, California State Senate, California State Assembly, and the City of Glendale.

The is an extraordinary organization that transforms lives by providing cochlear implants or Bone-Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) devices to children in Armenia, allowing them to hear.

JOY and Mr. Kaprielian are incredibly grateful to AIM Fund, the organization’s remarkable founder, Dr. Salpy Akaragian, and the various government officials for this immense honor.

We encourage you to follow and support so that they can continue to fulfill their mission and bring the gift of hearing to several more children in Armenia.
