This is what being a dad is really about.

It’s not just about providing for today. It’s about teaching lessons that will still matter when we’re gone. It’s showing our kids how to handle adversity, how to lead with purpose, how to keep their word, and how to be present for the moments that can never be replaced.

Recovery gave me the opportunity to understand something I wish I had learned much earlier:

Our children don’t need perfect fathers. They need present fathers.

Teach today.
