Non-profit providing horsemanship opportunities to able bodied youth in the greater Cleveland area.

We aim to heal community trauma and provide opportunities to gain potentially otherwise inaccessible social capital via the equestrian industry.

LUCK is busy these days. Another 17 students got some equine time today. The horses were the focal point but this little joey stole the show. Thanks again to our partner Elan Equine and educators Emily Jelenic Kelley and Malikah Adu-Niasse.

Today LUCK hosted 19 children and a few brave parents from the East Cleveland area at Elan Equine for an intro to horsemanship program. Huge thanks to Elan Equine Elite Transport, Kathi D. Kerr Moran, Emily Jelenic Kelley for their unwavering support of this program. I sure wish I could have been there.

Julia Warholic and LUCK’s Lucy braved adverse conditions to get good ribbons (4th in the Classic!) in a large class of 2’ Limit riders. Look closely and you’ll see they are soaked. Lucy did NOT like the rain and Julia did an awesome job keeping her on course.

LUCK’s Ruby Slippers (aka Lucy and not shown here) was CHAMPION in her division at Chagrin Hunter Jumper Classic with rider Gianna. First show for Gianna. Congratulations to both rider and mare! As usual kudos to the best trainer Patrick Swann for bringing this horse from euthanasia to rock star! ❤️lucy

One of the moms asked about the kids playing polo. We have the “polo fields” after all. Sadly there is no more polo here (if anyone knows different LMK!), but found these nostalgic pics on FB. Wish we could have a LUCK team!
