Hello 5p- Society community. One of our dads, Mark Wallace McGuire has written an amazing book on his journey of being the father to a special needs child.

Today is the day. 📖

BUT FIRST, WE MUST BEGIN IN THE DARK: A Father’s Journey into Special Needs & Faith is officially available. Born from my own struggle to reconcile faith, suffering, and the reality of raising a child with special needs, this book became a year-long journey of questions, conversations, and unexpected transformation. Along the way, I interviewed five fathers from different faith traditions, each raising children with different diagnoses. Their honesty and vulnerability changed the way I see suffering, faith, love, God, and myself. Part memoir, part spiritual pilgrimage, and part theological reflection, this book offers no easy answers. Instead, it asks: What happens when the life we imagined is replaced by one we never expected? And can suffering reshape the way we understand God, our children, and ourselves? The journey begins in the dark.
