Since 1968 The Action Center has been a lifeline of care and support to those facing hardship.

The Action Center’s mission is to provide an immediate and compassionate response to those in our community experiencing hardship and by offering the resources and services needed to stabilize lives and promote pathways to lasting change. Based in Lakewood, The Action Center meets people where they are, offering resources and services to stabilize lives and achieve lasting change. A dedicated staf

f, thousands of passionate volunteers, and on-site community partners put the mission to work every day providing food, clothing, personal care items, rent and utility assistance, and resources that help residents of Jefferson County and those experiencing homelessness thrive. The Action Center can help stretch budgets further with FREE resources for those in need. Some of the organization's resources include (when available):

Additionally, the Action Center has seasonal programs available to help ease the financial burden during challenging times. The organization's seasonal programs include:

We’re reimagining how local food systems work—together. 🥕💙

Through our Food Hub, the Action Center, and partner food pantries are expanding access to fresh, locally sourced food across the West Metro area. With our new commercial refrigerator and freezer, we can store and distribute full pallets of produce, dairy, and meat, strengthening food equity for our entire community. Have extra fresh food to share? We’d love to help put it to good use 💙

The Action Center Food Hub accepts bulk donations of fresh or frozen produce, dairy, meat, and protein (up to four pallets), along with pallets of clothing. Our commercial refrigerator and freezer allow us to safely store and distribute nutritious items to families in our community—supporting food security and reducing waste.

If you have more than four pallets, our partners at Food Bank of the Rockies can help coordinate larger donations.

Because of this incredible community, New Frontiers raised more than $345,000 in support of individuals and families across our community. 🤍

Every ticket purchased, paddle raised, auction bid placed, sponsorship made, and donation given helps create access to food, clothing, stability, connection, and hope for our neighbors.

To everyone who showed up, gave generously, volunteered, and believed in this mission: thank you. This impact belongs to all of us.
