We will be at the Find Your Thing Fair THIS SATURDAY, October 10th, from 12 - 4 PM! Held at the Cleveland Public Library, this is the perfect FREE opportunity to find out what is available for teens in our community. Look for the Colors+ Youth Center table and ask us all about the programs we offer, the ways to get involved, and the community we are building! 🏳️‍🌈

It's our favorite Saturday of the month! 🤩📚

Come to Lakewood Congregational Church on October 10th from 11 AM - 12 PM and listen to the always-fabulous Veranda L'Ni and Sassy Sascha read books, sing songs, and remind us all to stay confident and have FUN! 💜

If you would like to spend more time at Colors+ Youth Center this weekend, join us before Drag Story Hour for Playtime+ from 9 - 11 AM! 🧸🎨 This open playgroup is for LGBTQIA+ youth and families to come and play, do arts and crafts, and eat snacks while building a safe and inclusive community.

Today is the last to day to enter-to-win one of our AMAZING raffle prizes! We are raffling off a Family Game Night basket, a Sensory Self basket, two Back-to-School baskets donated by our friends at Swagelok, and a Safe Pass Learn to Drive Package. Ticket options range from $1 - $100 depending on the prize and number of tickets! 🏳️‍🌈 NEW DATES, SAME FUN 🏳️‍⚧️

Family Dinner + Game Night will now be on the FIRST FRIDAY of each month! 🍽️🎲 We know between school events and the holidays, the fall can be a busy season! With that in mind, we have changed the dates for our monthly Family Dinner + Game Night program for the rest of 2026, allowing you to eat a warm meal, play games, and form connections without missing a thing.

Join us on October 2nd from 6 - 8 PM at Lakewood Congregational Church for our next Family Dinner and Game Night! There will be no September Family Dinner.

🎉 Welcome to the team! 🎉

Malik Swisher has been named Executive Director of Colors+ Youth Center, bringing more than a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, advocacy, and organizational development.

Currently serving as Partnerships Administrator at Preterm Cleveland and as head of the Preterm Union, Malik has built a career dedicated to advancing equity, strengthening communities, and creating meaningful opportunities for underserved populations. His professional experience includes leadership roles with Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, the Sexual Violence Prevention Association, and numerous regional and national advocacy campaigns. He is widely recognized for his collaborative leadership style, commitment to social justice, and ability to bring diverse stakeholders together around a shared vision.

As Executive Director, Malik is honored to lead Colors+ into its next chapter — building on its legacy as a safe, affirming, and empowering space where LGBTQ+ youth can find community, access resources, and develop the confidence to become the next generation of leaders.

Malik’s first day is Monday, September 28. Please join us in welcoming him to Colors+ Youth Center! 🏳️‍🌈
