Mike Bieda has been a practicing attorney in Colorado with over thirty five years’ of experience. His expertise is in the area of general civil and business law, trials and civil litigation, government, business, contracts, wills and estates, and insurance law. In addition to a number of years’ experience in the private sector, Mike has served as a Colorado State District Court Judge, where he dec
ided a number of high profile first-degree murder cases including capital cases. He has also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado where he advised the Governor on a broad range of legal and Constitutional issues. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from the College of Natural Sciences at Colorado State University (CSU) and a Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from the University Of Colorado School Of Law. Active throughout his career in a number of political, civic and professional organizations. Chairman of the Rio Grande County Child Protection Team; The Education and Admissions Committee; The Twelfth Judicial District Nominating Commission; President of the Metropolitan Lawyer Referral Service; Knights of Columbus (Fourth Degree) and other civic organizations. Lakewood Ward 3 has a high rate of development and this challenge needs an experienced local community city councilor. Lakewood will continue to grow but it needs smart growth, not rapid unaccountable density. Accountability and trust is needed.
