🚲📚 Bike Fest is TOMORROW! 📚🚲
Bike Lakewood will be joining the Kauffman Park Friends at Kauffman Park from 10 AM–1 PM, and we’re bringing 100 donated books to give away from the Book Bike!

Stop by our table to:
👟 Learn about walk audits for all 7 Lakewood elementary schools and find out how you can participate.
🚦 Get involved with intersection audits and help identify ways to make Lakewood’s streets safer and more comfortable for people walking and biking.
📣 Learn more about Hike & Bike Week and upcoming opportunities to get out and ride.
🚲 Have questions about navigating Lakewood’s streets and sidewalks as a cyclist, driver, or pedestrian? We’d love to chat and help you find the answers.

And a big shout-out to Beat Cycles for bringing their Kidical Mass Ride to Bike Fest! The ride starts at Lakewood Park and finishes at Kauffman Park, so you can ride with the group and then stick around for all the Bike Fest fun.

Come say hello, grab a book, and talk with us about making Lakewood a better place to walk and bike!

We hope to see you there!

PeopleForBikes’ 2026 City Ratings measure the quality of more than 3,000 U.S. city bike networks.

Each city receives a City Ratings score on a scale of 0 - 100. A low score (0-20) indicates a weak bike network, meaning the city lacks safe bikeways or there are gaps in the network. A high score (80-100) indicates that most common destinations are accessible by safe, comfortable bike routes that serve people of all ages and abilities.

The League of American Bicyclists is evaluating Lakewood for Bicycle Friendly Community recognition, and they want to hear directly from the people who ride here.

Whether you bike every day, occasionally, or just wish it felt safer to ride more often, your feedback matters. The survey is anonymous, and the League uses responses from local riders to better understand what's working, what's not, and where improvements are needed.

Bike Lakewood encourages everyone to complete the survey honestly. If you think Lakewood is doing a great job, say so. If you see opportunities for improvement, say that too. Honest feedback is the best way to help our community become a better place to bike.

We are switching things up a bit for our July Social Ride!

PLEASE READ:

Come join us on a ride to Downtown Cleveland, where we will meet up at Public Square for Critical Mass.
Ride will leave between 6:05-6:10 to give us time to gather for the 7pm Critical Mass roll out. Critical Mass ends at Black Frog Brewery (1966 E 66th St). Ride back will be unsupported to allow everyone time to enjoy the social as they like. Please plan accordingly for your return to Lakewood. Total estimated ride distance to expect is 20-25 miles.

Don’t forget to bring lights, water, and a helmet!

What a week! Bike Lakewood was busy this past week with event after event - our June Social Ride, Bike with a Mayor, Kidical Mass + Story Time, and a couple of us even made it to the Detroit-Superior Bridge on two wheels! Thanks to everyone who came out to join us for one (or many!) of these events. Shout out to Beat Cycles, City of Lakewood, Ohio, Mayor George, Lakewood PD, Sarah Kepple, President of Lakewood City Council, Kyle Baker, Birdtown Brewing, Slow Roll Cleveland, Bike Rocky River, our wonderful group of volunteers, and our awesome community members for supporting and/or collaborating in some capacity to make these rides possible. We couldn’t have had such an amazing week without all of you! (BWAM photos credit to the City of Lakewood.)🚴💚🚴‍♀️💙🚴‍♂️Til next ride!
