Introducing our 2026 Brews & Beats Emcee!

Cousin to GiGi’s participant Annie, comedian, actor, and all around good human - we are excited to share that this year’s emcee is MOLLY KEARNEY!

Molly Kearney (they/them) recently starred as Barb on the comedy series “DMV” for CBS. They joined “Saturday Night Live” in 2022 and was the first non-binary cast member in the show’s history. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Molly got their start in stand-up comedy on Put-In-Bay Island in Lake Erie. In 2019, Molly was selected for Comedy Central’s “Up Next” Showcase, and performed at Clusterfest in San Francisco. Previously, they were a cast member of The Lincoln Lodge, the nation’s longest running independent stand-up showcase in Chicago.

Down syndrome ACCEPTANCE month is in full swing, and if you're looking for ways to celebrate - we got you covered!

All month long, stop at Danny Boys, Voodoo Tuna, or Roasted! Each spot has their own featured menu item with proceeds being donated directly to GiGi's Playhouse Cleveland!

At Danny Boys, snag a Believe-Land pizza from any location, as $2 from each pie will be donated to GiGi’s Playhouse Cleveland and Canton!

At Voodoo Tuna, sip on a Yokai mixed with spiced apple c***r, ginger, and bourbon (alcohol free cocktail available, too) as a portion of proceeds from this drink will be donated to GiGi’s!

At Roasted Lakewood and roastedtremont, grab a GiGi’s Oatmeal Cookie Latte at the Lakewood or Tremont locations, as each coffee makes a direct impact!

Get ready to do the Monster Mash this Saturday, October 17th, from 10:00–11:00 AM at Destination Discovery!

We’ll practice our monster moves with Monster Madness gross motor activities, explore a googly eye sensory bag, and use playdough to build our very own silly monsters. We’ll even enjoy a monster-themed story together! From sensory exploration to creative play and movement, there’s so much to discover.

No scary stuff here, just plenty of giggles, learning, and fun with friends!

Things will get a little spooky & silly this Friday, October 16th from 7 - 9 PM at the annual Halloween Teen Tastic Talent Show!

Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume, ready to perform a talent on stage, and the eagerness to cheer on your friends! We also suggest coming with an empty stomach, as we will have a build-your-own walking taco bar!!

Here are GiGi’s Playhouse Cleveland we like calling this month Down syndrome acceptance month, instead of utilizing the word awareness. We do this because awareness is knowing Down syndrome exists, but acceptance is embracing, validating, celebrating, including, and an active way of life.

Acceptance might mean something different to everyone, but it’s something we believe everyone should put into practice.

We’re excited to introduce Achievers, a new pilot program coming to GiGi’s Playhouse Cleveland this fall!

Running Fridays from 9 AM - 12 PM from October 30 through December 11, this six-week program will give adults ages 18+ the opportunity to develop skills in communication, self-awareness, health and wellness, independent living, workplace readiness, and community engagement while continuing to learn, grow, and build confidence. Achievers is all about learning through hands-on experiences that participants can put to use in their everyday lives.

Leading the program is Sierra Schrader, OT, who first joined GiGi’s Cleveland as an intern in 2022 and has stayed involved as a GiGiFIT volunteer. Sierra recently earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Cleveland State University and is passionate about helping adults with disabilities build skills that support their goals and independence.

Three cheers for Music Makers this Saturday, October 10th from 10 - 11 AM! Gear up to make some spoooooooky sounds this month as we spend the morning exploring Halloween music. Participants will make a delicious witch’s stew, march like ghosts, and maybe move our bodies to the music of KPop Demon Hunters. We promise the morning will be a treat, with no tricks!
