🐻 A BEAR‑Y BIG THANK YOU!
As we wrap up another wonderful year at Bear  Creek K‑8, we want to celebrate our amazing PTA board for all their dedication, heart, and countless hours poured into our school community.

💚 Andrea Lyles will be stepping into the role of President,
💚 Tammy Grosso will continue her leadership as Secretary,
💚 Alyssa Ackland remains our steadfast Treasurer,
💚 Mrs. Belter and Mrs. Barlow will be joining the team as our new Co–Vice Presidents,
and we send a fond farewell to Cassie, whose creativity and energy have helped make Bear  Creek K-8 brighter and more connected.

Cassie, thank you for your time, ideas, and spirit — you’ll always be part of our Bear  Creek K-8 family.

Is your child is interested in joining Marching Band or Color Guard? Did you know that Bear Creek High School offers 8th graders from Bear Creek K-8 and Carmody to be apart of the Grizzly Regiment!

There are some opportunities to check it out coming up if you are going to be in 8th or 9th grade next school year.

ColorGuard try it out: 5/5, 5/12 & 5/21 4pm-6pm
Percussion Spring training: 5/12, 5/19 & 5/26 4pm-5:30pm

All other sections should join ColorGuard and percussion at the Mini Band Camp
5/28 12pm-4pm
5/29 8am-12pm

What a great turn out! We didn’t capture any pictures as we were so busy mingling but thank you to all of our helpers big and small for helping with set up, restocking and cleaning up both days! We couldn’t do this without the support from staff and parents!

If you would like to find out about or help with more PTA sponsored events please come to our next meeting on May 12th to be apart of the fun!

This is a great opportunity open to all incoming 8th graders!

Come and try out an amazing sport that will build your confidence and make long lasting friendships!

Any student who will be in 8th grade (or 9th) next school year (2026-2027) is welcome to come Try It Out!

Bear Creek K‑8 PTA Chili Cook‑Off + Conference Night Dinner Donations

🕒 Drop-off between 2:30 - 3:30PM• Pick-up by 7:00 PM

We’re combining our traditional conference-night meal donations with a Chili Cook-Off for parents — and our amazing teachers will vote for their favorites!

Want to compete?
Sign up to bring a crock pot of chili.
🏆 1st Place: $50 Amazon gift card
🥈 2nd Place: $25 Amazon gift card
One vote per teacher. Winner announced after conferences!

Not entering the competition?
We’d love donations of cornbread, rolls, cheese, and other fixings to round out the meal.
🥦 We also need at least one vegetarian chili option.
