Last week the CLA participated in , theChautauqua Region Community Foundation 's annual day of giving.

Thanks to our Chautauqua Lake community, this was our best year yet for donor participation. 🥰 We set a goal of 42 unique donors, one for every mile of Chautauqua Lake shoreline our crews care for every season. We ended the day with 57 supporters, raising $7,465 toward our goal. That's worth celebrating.

WORK PLAN: Week of June 15–19, 2026

This week we will again be harvesting with limited shore work.

The south crew will continue along the east shore from Greenhurst to Driftwood, then cross to the west shore working from Ashville Bay south back to the CLA.

The mid-lake crew will finish up along the west shore between Bly Bay and Cheney's Point, then cross to the east shore working from Driftwood north into Arnold's Bay.

The north crew will work their way back to the north, first from Tom's Point to Chautauqua Institution, then along the east shore from the Lutheran Camp into Dewittville and Hartfield.

The shore crew will continue along the east shore from Yost Road into Arnold's Bay and through Bemus Bay back to Long Point.

The mobis will continue along the west shore from Ashville Bay north to Stow.

Chautauqua Lake Partnership (CLP) has a herbicide treatment planned for Wednesday and Thursday of this week targeting Milfoil. Once we have a finalized map, we will publicize the sites. As always, CLA crews will not be working in these areas for two weeks after treatment.

A quick note about the Chautauqua Alliance — a collaboration of towns, villages, county officials and lake organizations working together to make the best lake management decisions for all lake users.

The Alliance is the voice of many and the CLA is proud to be part of it.

It’s 5:04PM and the event is winding down…

Today, we’re hoping to get ✨ONE ✨ donor to pitch in $504 dollars to match the 504 truckloads CLA crews removed in last July alone.
