In fact, the U.S. Surgeon General has said that nationally, teen e-cigarette use has reached "epidemic levels." Citizens for a Healthier Lakewood and Councilor Gutwein were chosen as Public Health Champions of the year! The 2018 Champs were recognized at an award ceremony hosted by JCPH, the Jefferson County Board of Health and the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners on April 2, 2019. Congratulations, everyone!

Congratulations to Edgewater on becoming the fifth community in Colorado to raise the minimum age of sale for to***co products to 21!

From Jefferson County Public Health: On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, the Edgewater City Council voted unanimously to raise the minimum legal sale age for to***co products in Edgewater from 18 to 21.
