Need a fun plan for the weekend? Paint a bowl, feed a neighbor! ✨

Now through Thanksgiving, stop by RAD Ceramics in Tacoma to make some art AND make a difference. Here’s how it works:
👉 purchase a bowl to paint
👉 you’ll get TWO bowls, one for you and one to be donated to EFN’s Empty Bowls event.
👉 Paint both bowls or have RAD Ceramics help prepare the second bowl for you.
👉 Your bowl will be up for grabs at our Empty Bowls event on 12/5! All proceeds from the event help support neighbors in need.

A big thanks to RAD Ceramics for making this happen. 💚💚

So much generosity packed into one afternoon! 💚 donated more than 3,000 "Bowl of Hope" soup kits this week so that families can prepare a warm and nourishing chicken tortilla soup.

EFN was honored to partner with Sound Credit Union for their Afternoon of Service as more than 450 employees gathered together to pack soup kits. EFN was also invited to take a part in a panel so we could share about our work and the need in the community with all of their employees. A huge thank you to Sound Credit Union for the opportunity to connect with your employees and for the generous donation of food!

Big thanks to Banner Bank Tacoma for showing up for their community! Throughout 2026, their team has been making volunteer deliveries through EFN’s Home Delivery Program, helping ensure 700 households each month have access to nourishing food.

When local businesses and nonprofits come together, our whole community benefits. 💚 From delivering food and repacking at our Distribution Center to helping with events and food drives, there are plenty of ways for corporate teams to get involved. Interested in bringing your team to EFN? Shoot us a message!

At EFN, we work with our Partner Programs to make food assistance as accessible as possible for our neighbors. 💚 Swipe through to learn more about what access looks like. 👉 Want to get involved and help make it easier for everyone in Pierce County to access the food they need? Here's a few ways to do so:

🥫 Share our Find Food page (efoodnet.org/find-food). Help neighbors find food pantries in Pierce County, including locations, hours, contact information and nearby bus stops.

💚 Spread the word. Our partners don’t require ID or proof of income, citizenship or residency to access food. Sharing this information can help more people feel comfortable seeking support.

🥦 Support nutritious, diverse food. Your donation helps EFN purchase foods that meet the needs and preferences of the people our Partner Programs serve.

🛒 Host a food drive. Collect a variety of foods, including culturally familiar options and easy-to-prepare items like pop-top canned goods and ready-to-eat meals.

Yesterday, EFN staff joined Amazon in celebrating Austin Jennison, one of eight recipients of the company's Frontrunner of the Year Award across North America. As part of his award, Austin was able to nominate a nonprofit of his choice to receive $10,000. We are incredibly honored that he chose EFN! 💚Austin shared that he chose us because he wanted to help people in his own community access food. Caring for community is a family tradition. Austin got connected to EFN because his family members volunteer at EFN. Thank you Austin for choosing us and thank you Amazon for your continued support!
