We’re Back, LWR Runners! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It’s been a minute, but we’re lacing up and getting back to sharing all the amazing things this community is accomplishing!

Kicking things off with a huge shoutout to Stephanie, who tackled the D***y Challenge at Disney World last month—crushing a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon in one weekend! 👏🎉

Merry Christmas from the Lakewood Ranch Running Club! 🎄👟

What a magical Christmas Eve morning run yesterday. New runners joined the fun, old friends came together, and we all shared the joy of the season on a beautiful 6-mile run through the sparkling holiday lights of UTC.

Thank you to everyone who participated and brought non-perishable food donations for All Faiths Food Bank—your generosity truly embodies the holiday spirit. Together, we made a difference while creating wonderful memories.

This week’s Saturday run was everything we love about this community! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ We came together to celebrate our amazing club President, Carl, and his bride-to-be, Kayla, on their upcoming wedding. 💍🎉 Cheers to their next big adventure!

Special thanks to Joni for the incredible cookies—I’m still dreaming about them! 🍪 Plus, we had a delightful invasion of run club kiddos, making it an eventful, joy-filled morning.

Meet us at the Keke’s Breakfast Cafe parking lot at 70 & Lakewood Ranch Blvd for a 5-mile loop—shorten it if you like, it’s your run! All paces are welcome, so whether you’re a sprinter or a stroller, we’ve got a spot for you. 💪✨

It was an exciting weekend for the Lakewood Ranch Running Club, with amazing performances across multiple races.

Here’s a recap of how our runners did:
• Amy placed 1st in her age group 🏆 and finished 9th overall at the Sarasota Half Marathon.
• Mod set a new PR at the Sarasota Half Marathon! 🎉
• Stephen’s earned a 10K PR while pushing Sara (7) at the Hot Chocolate Run. This was Stephen’s first time pushing and needless to say, he and Sara made a great team!👏
• Kylee kept strong, running for two 🤰, while Michael proudly showed off his dad bod.
• Cassie ran strong at the Publix Jingle 5K, taking 1st in her age group 🥇 and setting a new PR.
• Greg kicked off the Jingle 5K leading the pack and showing us all that everyone deserves the chance to cross that finish line! 🏃‍♂️

🎉 A big congratulations to all our runners who competed this weekend! Whether you hit PRs, took home awards, or just enjoyed the miles, you make our club proud.

The Lakewood Ranch Run Club showed up big time last night at the Publix Jingle 5K! From prepping to hyping and manning the water station, this incredible crew made sure every runner had the energy to crush their race. Could you ask for a better squad to cheer you on mid-run? 💪🎉

The festivities were unmatched, with nearly 700 runners hitting the streets of Lakewood Ranch. And let’s not forget the magical finish line moment—Santa himself was there to celebrate your victory! 🎅✨

A HUGE thank you to our amazing RUNLWR volunteers who helped keep everyone hydrated. And of course, congratulations to all the runners who made this a race to remember! 🥇👏
