Many of you have followed along over the last few years with our Bottlecaps to Benches program. We’re excited to announce that we’ve reached our goal and will no longer be accepting bottlecaps! With your help, we’ve built three benches and four tables, two of which were handicap accessible, amounting to 3300 pounds of bottlecaps diverted from our landfills. We have enough bottlecaps in storage to finish our other projects, including a picnic table for the Wabash Grove satellite garden and a bench at the McKinley satellite garden.
While we can no longer accept donations of caps, we do still need help sorting bottle caps and paying for the final product! If you’re interested in volunteering, please reach out to Randy at [email protected] or if you’d like to sponsor a bench, please reach out to [email protected].
If you’re interested in this program, we worked through the ABC Promise Partnership Program from Green Tree Plastics in Evansville, Indiana. Thank you all so much for your help!
