More than 15 years ago, Ruby Slippers first took the stage at the Ames Center, introducing audiences to a magical world of adventure, courage, and discovery.

Today, we’re looking back at the very beginning and chatting with Emily, a current TCB instructor and the ballerina who originated the role of Dorothy, about her memories of bringing this beloved character to life for the very first time. ❤️

For the third time, Ruby Slippers will return to the stage this March at the historic Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul.

From its very first production to its return years later, we’re celebrating the history, the memories, and the magic that make Ruby Slippers so special. 🩰✨❤️
