Hello Lakeville Relayers! You may have received an email via the RFL website yesterday regarding some new and exciting changes for 2017. In case you didn't, here is what we've been up to:
The Relay For Life season is gearing up and there are some changes we are excited to tell you about. As you know, we always strive to put on the best Relay events possible. With this in mind, the American Cancer Society has decided to merge Burnsville and Lakeville events this year. By combining our two communities’ forces, we look forward to having one of our biggest and best years yet! We hope that you'll participate in the newly merged Relay For Life event and help us make it a success.
Both the Lakeville and Burnsville Event Leadership Teams have already met to begin plans for 2017. In our brainstorming meetings, our ELT has taken a fresh, new look at how to engage our communities in the fight against cancer: think along the lines of Buck Hill, food trucks, newly developed micropubs, games for all ages, mountain biking, Luminaria, and of course, our community. Be on the lookout for communication in January for more detailed information on how we will be raising money for the American Cancer Society and saving more lives!
We’re happy to announce our website has a fresh look. The new RelayForLife.org helps you manage your teams and track fundraising progress. Oh, and it’s also mobile friendly. This means that anything you can do on the desktop version can be done on the mobile version, including registration and fundraising. We encourage you to register by 12/31 – especially team captains! Any team captain who registers by the end of the year will receive their early bird Team Captain t-shirt. A very cool new feature of these brand new websites is that team members can now sign-up before their team captain registers their team!

Registration is extremely simple this year: if you were registered last year, your information should pre-populate when you login to your Society Account. You can be signed up in less than 1 minute for the 2017 event! You can visit www.relayforlife.org/burnsvillemn to register today.
