Did you know that Neil Simon decided to write the female version of The Odd Couple in 1985 primarily to satisfy years of endless requests from theater groups and to prevent directors from simply "gender-bending" his original script? Rather than allowing theaters to just cast women in the male roles of Felix and Oscar, Simon insisted on writing the adaptation himself so the characters could speak with an authentic female voice and address women's issues of the 1980s.

Andie Moore - Director
Andie, who serves on the Expressions Community Theater Board and who has a rich background in acting and improv is excited to bring this funny show to life. What a joy it has been to see the entire scope of this show, from auditions to opening night. She couldn’t be more proud of this cast and crew. She wishes to thank her talented cast for bringing these humans to life and for bringing the funny for all to enjoy. She also wants to think Omar, Emma, Beth, Joylee and DeMacio for their much-needed support and hard work!

Emma Paquette-Stage Manager
The Odd Couple-Female Version is Emma’s first return in the role of Stage manager since college and she couldn’t be happier to have been part of this team. She was last seen with Expressions Community Theater as Alice Sycamore in “You Can’t Take It With You”. She has toured states with various children’s theater companies in the past, but decided to plant her feet in the Minneapolis theater scene.
She wants to thank her friends and family for their endless support, especially your partner, Conner, and her puppy, Teddy. Emma, hopes you enjoy the show and laughs as much as she has during rehearsals.

Beth Adams - Producer
Beth has served as Producer all season for Expressions Community Theater and is a member of the Expressions board.
She has acted in over 20 plays, Directed and has written short plays and short films in her past.
She would like to thank this talented, cast and crew for making her job easy and allowing her to bask in the funny with them.
She is looking forward to being involved in more new and exciting creative adventures coming around the bend with her fellow lovers of the arts. Enjoy the show!!

Joylee Christensen - Backstage Assistance
Joylee is a recent graduate at UNW. She’s had a wide array of Theater experience, her favorites have been stage managing, sound designing, acting, and directing! Her favorite shows she has worked on before are: a Murder is Announced(Stage manager) , Night Witches (Raisa), Anastasia (Production Assistant) and Christmas Carol (Mrs. Cratchit).
We are so glad to have her aboard to help with all her talented skills!

DeMacio Foster- (Lights/Sound Technician)- Demacio is an Audio Video Technician originally from Wisconsin. He has been working mainly in Lighting for 15 years. He has worked venues such as the Sheldon Theatre and The Armory.
He also has done A/V for multiple companies as well as Video Editing and Sound Production for the city of Minneapolis Parks and Recreation. Demacio has done a variety of shows throughout his career and hopes to work on more shows in the future.

Jeni Svestka as Olive Madison is thrilled to debut with Expressions Theater and is having a blast, bringing the delightfully quirky Olive to life.
Olive Madison is a slovenly, cynical and easy-going TV news writer who’s messy living, contrast surely with her neat-freak roommate.
Jeni holds degrees in Theater and Communication. Offstage she assists in the drama department at LNHS, runs a catering business, and teaches group fitness at the YMCA! She wants to send a special thanks to her family and students for their endless support!
