The Lakeside Community Center is aptly named -- it sits on the shore of Lindo Lake, which provides a scenic background for the modern facility. Lindo Lake County Park is the recreational center of the community, with its family and group picnic areas, dance ramada, play areas, softball field, horseshoe pits, fishing, bird watching, tennis courts and fitness stations. The park is also home to the l

ocal county library as well as The REC Club, a teen center for ages 10-17. Note: Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited in the park.

In case you missed the County’s earlier message, tomorrow is . In honor of this date, our offices, community and teen centers will be closed, however, as with all special observances, our 100+ parks will remain open for your enjoyment.

In observance of Juneteenth, all San Diego County offices, family resource centers, libraries and animal shelters will be closed to the public Wednesday, June 19.

Reminder that the Lakeside Community Center is starting a porcelain art class starting Tuesday November 21st. This class is for adults and kids starting at the age of 10. Plenty of spots are available. Please call the Lakeside Community Center to register or to ask any questions.

Join us at the Lakeside Community Center from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on this Friday 10/20 for a Halloween Festival. This event will include carnival games with prizes, spooky decorations, Halloween crafts, face painting, a live DJ, outdoor laser tag and healthy snacks.

Costumes are welcomed and encouraged at this free event for all ages.

Bonus attraction starts a 4:00pm. Ranger Chris will be giving a live bird of prey presentation with hawks and owls inside the center starting at 4.
