Br sure and mark your calendar for 2026 LWBS boat show on Sunday, July 19! It is one of the best kind of Lakeside days. There will be Wally & the Beavs on the pavilion playing some of everyone's favorite music and the Plein Air Art show is going on that same weekend. Come join us for a wonderful day and see some of the most beautiful classic wooden boats! Hope you can make it!

It was a wonderful Lighthouse Festival weekend in Lakeside. The LWBS Buoy Tree still has room if you would like to add your buoy to the tree! Here are a couple of examples. Use your imagination. The buoy tree will be in Walnut Plaza throughout the holidays so there is plenty of time to show your creativity!⚓️⛵️

The buoy tree is beautiful in the evening. We'll be selling buoys tomorrow, Sunday 8/31, from 2-4 next to the buoy tree. There will also be paint & brushes available to decorate a buoy. So there's still time to get a buoy on the tree!

Thank you to Becky & Bret Johnson for inviting LWBS to Otterbein to decorate buoys for the LWBS Buoy Tree in Walnut Plaza. It was so much fun and we have so many new, creative buoys to hang on the buoy tree. There is still time to decorate a buoy for any one who would like to have their creative buoy on the buoy tree!

Join LWBS today between 2-4 at the Lakeside Chautauqua Ice Cream Social for our 2025 LWBS FUNdraiser that combines art, community, and giving back, as you design and paint your own buoy. Buoys are available for $25. Paint and brushes will be provided. The LWBS tent is located in front of the historic Hotel Lakeside. Hope to see you there!!

One more reason to make sure you come to the LWBS Wooden Boat Show this year. What a special project the 'Gull' is. You should really see it in person to get an idea of the incredible craftsmanship that is going into this classic, historic Lyman!!

Explore 150 years of Lyman boats!

The Lakeside Wooden Boat Society is partnering with Doc Lyman and the Maritime Museum of Sandusky to present a special exhibit this weekend, July 18-20.

Visit the tent on the Hotel Lakeside lawn to view rare artifacts, hands-on activities and engaging displays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12-4 p.m. Sunday.

The highlight of the exhibit is the 'Gull,' a beautifully restored Lyman runabout once owned by Oscar Lay of Lay Brothers Fisheries. Don't miss this tribute to the golden age of wooden boats and Lake Erie's maritime heritage.

This year you can have fresh Lake Erie perch at the LWBS wooden boat show !! It's the best!!🎣

Craving perch? The Rotary Club of Port Clinton's Perch Wagon will be parked on Walnut Plaza during the Lakeside Wooden Boat Show from 12-4 p.m. Sunday, July 20, serving up golden fried Lake Erie perch and fries, while supplies last.

In addition to the Perch Wagon, enjoy more delicious options at the Wooden Boat Show Lunch on the Hotel Lakeside Lawn (also 12-4 p.m.), featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, brats & sauerkraut, pulled pork and Italian sausage, while supplies last.

Plus, you can grab a bite or sweet treat from one of Lakeside's many nearby restaurants just steps away from the show.
