ONLY 6 MORE DAYS TO PURCHASE TICKETS!! DEADLINE FOR TICKETS IS AUGUST 31st at 12:00 noon.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, at 5 p.m., Lakeside Chautauqua, in cooperation with Lakeside Wooden Boat Society (LWBS) and the Society of Old Salts(SOS), will partner with Beach Glass Lounge owners Shana and Cary Ferguson to host All Hands On Deck, a special fundraising dinner that will take place along Ohio’s Most Beautiful Mile.

Featuring a Southern seafood boil, a fresh oyster bar, along with some special live music, it will be an unforgettable evening by the lake. This gathering will celebrate another remarkable summer while also investing in the future of Lakeside’s waterfront staff.

Thanks to the generosity of fellow Lakesiders, all food for the evening has been donated, allowing every dollar raised to directly support the future of Lakeside’s waterfront.

This fundraiser will enable a U.S. Sailing Certified Instructor to come to Lakeside, offering certification courses to happen right here in our community. It also creates local opportunities to earn national sailing credentials without the expense of traveling to other states.

It will provide current and future Lakeside employees with reimbursement for certification expenses upon the successful completion of their summer employment at Lakeside.
By investing in training and certification, we are investing in people. Together, we can cultivate the next generation of waterfront leaders.

Lakeside sailing staff is instrumental in assisting LWBS with so many events, including the Wooden Boat Show, Sunday evening boat rides, Blessing of the Fleet, and Pirate adventures. We couldn't do it without their help.

Sunday Evening Boat Rides are cancelled for today, Sunday, August 23. Because of increasing winds, LWBS is regretfully cancelling Sunday Evening Boat Rides this evening, the last Sunday Evening Boat Rides for this 2026 season. We sure have enjoyed getting to meet so many Lakesiders and visitors and sharing a ride on a classic wooden boat. We are looking forward to seeing you all next season.

And remember - we are still collecting painted buoys for the buoy tree. Buoys are available at the Legacy House on Walnut Plaza. More details to come on the competition for the Best in Show buoy.

Sunday Evening Boat Rides - cancelled for today, August 2. Because of predictions of thunderstorms and increasing winds, LWBS has regretfully cancelled Sunday Evening Boat Rides this evening. We are looking forward to seeing you all next Sunday.

And since it's a cloudy kind of day, it could be a good day to think about LWBS buoy painting. Buoys are available at the Legacy House on Walnut Plaza. They're not open today but if you would like buoys to paint before they open tomorrow morning, just let us know.

Have a wonderful Sunday in Lakeside Chautauqua!
