Prayer for the Unborn — 2026
Our Father in Heaven, the Creator and Author of all life, we come before You today with grateful and humble hearts.
We come as Your children, knowing that every family in heaven and on earth derives its name from You — that You are the Father of all, and that Your love for every soul You have made is beyond our full comprehension.
Father, we pray today for the unborn — for the lives You are even now fearfully and wonderfully forming, knitting together in the womb with purpose and with care. We know that You see them. We know that You love them. Even before their first breath, their days are written in Your book. We thank You for the profound gift of each of these lives, and we pray that they will be protected, nurtured, and given the opportunity to live out the purpose for which You created them. We pray for healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and lives full of meaning and service to You.
We pray for the doctors, nurses, counselors, and caregivers who surround these mothers and children. Give them skill in their work, and give them compassion in their hearts. Help them to understand the precious nature of every life they serve, and may they be a blessing to every family that comes through their care.
Father, we pray especially for the mothers who are carrying these children — and most of all for those who are afraid. For those who are overwhelmed. For those who feel alone and see no clear path forward. We know, Father, that You see them too. You love them too. They are not a problem to be solved — they are Your daughters, made in Your image, precious in Your sight. Draw near to them, Father. Calm their fears, strengthen their hearts, and help them to feel Your presence in the midst of their uncertainty. Surround them with people who will show them Your mercy and Your love. Help them to see not only the challenges before them, but the beauty and the blessing of the life they carry.
Be with the fathers of these children as well. Those who are uncertain, those who feel unprepared, those who may be tempted to walk away. Help them, Father, to rise to the moment — to see the value of the life You have entrusted to them, and to be the support and strength that this mother and this child need.
Father, we grieve that so many lives are ended in this country before they have a chance to begin. We know that every one of those lives was known by You, loved by You, and created for a purpose. We mourn that loss, Father, as we know You do. And we ask that You would use us — Your people — to make a difference. Not only in our words, but in our hands and our feet. Help us to offer real help, real compassion, and real hope to those who need it most. May we be true lights in this world, reflecting Your mercy and grace to the mothers, the fathers, the children, and all who are touched by these circumstances.
We stand before You today, Father, in faith and in hope — believing that every life matters to You, that every soul is worth saving, and that Your Son died for every one of them. Use us to reach them. Use us to love them. And may You be glorified through every life that is given the chance to live.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
