The Red Tent Initiative Is Restarting

We are pleased to announce the relaunch of the Red Tent Initiative. Kathy Secrist Dobson will serve as the new leader, with Heather Norby continuing as an integral member of the team.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Alison and all past members for their dedication, compassion, and valuable contributions. Their work laid the groundwork for this next chapter.

As we move into 2026, we look forward to continuing our mission of supporting survivors of abuse. Additional details will be shared soon. We invite our community to help spread the word and stay connected.

Dear Friends of Red Tent:

I've been putting this off awhile now because my heart breaks a little every time I think about it, but it's past due. Red Tent will no longer be taking donations or hosting events for the foreseeable future. I've moved my family to Maine and our board has dissolved. If anyone out there feels called to take up the mantle, please let me know! But for now, I'd like to hear from you whether we should keep or delete the social media pages. I am still happy to field calls and communications to help Survivors connect with other services, as well. This is not goodbye! La lucha sigue. Keep loving, keep fighting!
