Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor our trans siblings whose lives have been lost and recognize the importance of the spaces created for healing and remembrance.

A huge thank you to both Descolonizarte Teatro and Hope CommUnity Center for holding space today. We’re also tagging a few incredible local groups like The Q***r Trans Project, Be Diverse Network, LGBT+ Center Orlando - The Center’s Trans Services Program, RISE Initiative LLC, Transunitedinelevation, Ripple Hauxs, and the Orlando Pride’s Trans & Nonbinary Task Force who continue to do the work on the ground. We encourage everyone to tag more organizations and show them support.

In moments like these, we remember, we honor, and we stand together. 💜

Rest in Power Miss Major Griffin Gracy 🕊️
A mother. A warrior. A movement.

Miss Major didn’t just change history, she built it. From Stonewall to founding TGIJP, she fought for every trans person told they didn’t belong. Her love was radical, her leadership unstoppable.

TGIJP was one of the first organizations to ever believe in Be Diverse Network, one of the first to fund us. Their support helped us launch and sustain our Call Me By My Name campaign, giving trans and nonbinary people across the country the resources to legally affirm who they are.

Miss Major’s legacy reminds us that liberation begins with care, and that our community’s power is rooted in love that refuses to be silenced.

Because of her we will keep building.
Because of her we will keep fighting.
Because of her we will never stop showing up.

Thank you Miss Major, for lighting the way.
Your legacy lives in us all.

With this support, we’re launching a powerful new initiative that will center trans voices in ways our community has been waiting for. Hosted by , this series will bring together a range of guests from advocates doing the work on the ground, to individuals whose stories have yet to be told, to voices that deserve to be heard loud and clear.

In a time where the economy and politics are weighing heavily on marginalized communities, creating space for these conversations isn’t just important it’s necessary. This initiative will shine a light on resilience, advocacy, and truth while building connections that inspire real change.
Together, we are bridging the gap and burning stigmas.

Our moderator for our June 17th author talk may look familiar… Amanda Kabak spoke to us earlier this month about her book, Upended! She’ll be chatting with the hilarious author Kristen Arnett about her book, Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One, following Cherry Hendricks, a professional clown, as she navigates grief, love, and her clown career in Orlando, Florida. Stop by Union Hall on the 17th for booze and books!
