Dear supporters & friends,
I am writing to you all to catch you up on all the things the Lord has been doing. Warning: This is a long letter with a lot of details. I will attempt to write it in story form.
On the morning of my 51st birthday the Lord abruptly awakened me. I woke up and looked at the clock at exactly 5:17 in the morning. This is significant because I was born on March 10th, 1958 at 5:17 in the morning. Then I heard these words audibly, “9 more years”. I immediately asked the Lord if I only had 9 more years to live? Then I heard this in the Spirit. Within 9 years, by your 60th birthday, you will know and be walking in the ministry that I have ultimately called you to. Since then I have prayed for the ability to hear my instructions when the Lord spoke to me. Starting back in January of this year I have received several prophecies that have confirmed what I was hearing in my spirit. I know that Cindy and I are to dedicate the rest of our lives to His Mission.
The Lord told me to incorporate a new ministry that will cover the work that we will do. I have incorporated Fontaine Mission International. I never wanted to put my name on anything but I know the Lord instructed me to do this. People will be able to find us on social media and the internet easier if our name is on the ministry. There are three places in the world that we know God has connected us to. China, Mexico, and Haiti. We have had a work in Haiti since 1991 and we still have our orphanage in Bon Repo, Haiti, we have worked in Mexico for the last 15 years, since our friend Vicki Rawdon took us to Reynosa and we met Robert Gator Carter who is the founder of Big Heart Orphanage in Reynosa. Way back in April of 1998 Brother Joseph Crandall prophesied over me as we were walking out of chapel one morning that I would travel behind the Iron Curtain, to the Dark Continent, to the islands of the sea, to North and South America and one day we would have a great work in China. I have been to every one of these places and China did not happen until April of 2007, which was 19 years after the prophecy by Brother Joe. In China, we have been working with the above ground Church, the Three Self Church. We started out just building clean drinking water systems in villages. We have done several of these and we have done micro credit projects that help local families start businesses that can support them. We also have been allowed to hold leadership trainings for church leaders. We also are teaching in a Bible School. God has given us great favor with the local government in Southwest China. On November 27th we will be going to China until December 12th to teach in the Bible College. We believe that starting in 2018 we will be spending 3 months in China to work closely with our Chinese Pastor that the Lord has connected us with.
So, here is the layout on what we believe is God’s plan for us. We have incorporated FMI, Fontaine Mission International, as the Lord has directed us to. This is a 501©3 Incorporation. Under this covering we will do the Lord’s work in Haiti through the Good Shepard Orphanage along with Brother Daniel Marcel. We will work in China through our Chinese Pastor and his Bible School. (specifics left out due to security reasons). Our prayer is to be able to stay in China for at least 3 months each year. We believe this will be a gradual development due to our needing a full-time interpreter. David Sonne works with us now and he would like to be able to help us for the 3 month stays in China but due to his job and the fact that he has a wife and baby now, we will have to trust the Lord and see what happens. We will continue to visit China annually and we will continue the projects that we have started and we will add new ones as the Lord provides. We know that the work in China will eventually develop into our focus.
Now, to the miraculous things that are happening in Mexico. As I stated earlier in this letter, I met Gator Carter about 15 years ago when Cindy and I lived in Colorado and we went on a trip to Abasolo, Mexico to go and help Pastor Marten and his wife Rosa. On the way there we stopped over at Big Heart Orphanage for a day or two before going south. As soon as I met Gator we had a bond. He is a wonderful man who started an orphanage with his wife Deana in Reynosa. Over the next 15 years we made many trips to Reynosa and we took the third-year ministry team from Blue Ridge Bible College. Blue Ridge donated the money to put a new metal roof on part of the dorms at Big Heart. The students helped with things at Big Heart like painting the dorms and they helped in the orphanage as well. In 2009, I believe just before Brother Joe went to be with the Lord, I woke up one night and an angel was standing at the foot of our bed. I asked what He wanted and he said these words, “the next big thing in your life will be in Mexico.” That’s all he said and he left. For 8 years I have prayed about this visitation that I had. I shared it with Cindy and Pastor Phil Crandall who was my pastor at the time. Shortly after that I met a brother from Mexico City named Herrera. He and I had lunch, I was introduced to him by Brother David Crandall. Brother Herrera and I discussed the need for a training center in Mexico. Gator Carter and I had discussed a Training center about 10 years ago.
Across the street from Big Heart Orphanage was a compound that used to be a Bible School run by an elderly Mexican preacher. Gator was interested in it after the elderly man passed away nut his granddaughter did not want to sell it at that time.
Several ministries were interested in it over the last few years including me. I spoke to Gator about having it so we could have a school of ministry. Well, Gator has purchased it and we are going to start Big Heart School of Ministry in 2018. I recently spent a week with Gator in Reynosa and I know the Lord has spoken very clearly to me and given me a blueprint for starting this training school. Our focus is to train people for ministry so they can fulfill their calling and be involved with Building His Kingdom. We are going to start on February 5th through April 20th. We will have 10 weeks of intense training for ministry. We are inviting many of our pastor friends to come and teach for a week in the school. Cindy will be teaching and I will teach classes on First Principals and my three books that I have written. Pastor John Rawdon, Sister Vicki Rawdon, Pastor Chuck Sexton & Glidel Sexton, will be coming down to teach just to name a few.
The Lord instructed me to plan and to set a goal. We are praying for 20 churches to sow $100.00 per month into FMI and we are praying for 100 people to sow $20.00 monthly. This will give us a budget of $4000.00 monthly. We will need approximately $1000.00 to maintain our home in Lakeland, Florida, our car insurance our utilities. Anything above this amount will be used for our work in China, Haiti, and Mexico. With the $3000.00 per month we will be able to purchase plane tickets and maintain our projects in these countries. I am believing for this money but I also know that the Lord will do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think. We already have people and churches that help us monthly and this money will be counted as part of the monthly budget of $4000.00. We are also asking the Lord to help us raise the $40,000.00 needed to complete the construction and set up of the School of Ministry buildings. PLEASE pray about your church supporting us and please share this with your congregations. We have a friend in Connecticut that is building a webpage for FMI and it will be up and running momentarily. As soon as that is up I will make a big announcement about all of this. You will be able to give to us online on our website on our secure donation page. So, the layout for 2018 looks like this: February, March and April we will be in Mexico. May, June, and July we will be itinerating and visiting family. August, September, and October we will be in China teaching at the Bible School. November, December, and January we will be at home with family and preaching as the Lord opens doors.
