David, this is Ron Lane Jr, I spoke to you on the phone a couple of days ago.

As I mentioned my father was a crew member aboard the USS Rogers 876 when he served with the Navy as a Gunners Mate 2nd Class. His dates of service were from 1959 to 1963.

The attached photo was taken in 1959 after he completed amphibious training in San Diego California, my parents at that time as I was told were also married aboard the ship at sometime early 1963, and I was born in the Coronado, Naval hospital 3 June 1963, go figure.

Currently resided in las Vegas.

RIP EUGENE CUNNINGHAM FM-BT 56-58 Was a long time Supporter and friend of the USS ROGERS Reunions and me personally. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Our sincere condolences go out to Linda wife of many years and the entire Cunningham family.

Good morning USS Rogers officers, and crew I salute each and everyone of you for your service and years of dedication to the security and freedom of the United States of America.
I believe America has entered a new eara. Yesterday as Priss and I spent time with my Mom and Dad who are buired at the Bay Pines VA cemetery in St Petersburg Florida. Many young people approached to shake my hand and thank me for my service as I proudly wore my USS Rogers hat and shirt.
We may have turned the corner on the Vienam eare and the disrespect shone to our service men and women. I believe young people are beginning to honor our country and service men and women again. Thank you President Donald J. Trump. God Bless the USA.
