We are a quilt guild with a heart for charitable works. We donate lap size quilts to various organiza

Our guild began in 1995 and some original members are still involved. Our mission is to further interest in quilting through educational and charitable activities. We have programs, show and tell, potluck dinners, sit and sews, bus trips, workshops with nationally known speakers, holiday parties and anything else quilting related.

The AQS Daytona show is coming and we are taking a road trip! The date is Feb. 18 and if you would like to attend, head on over to our website, ladiesofthelakes.org, go to the events calendar and click on the event, select how many tickets you would like to purchase and it will take you to a payment portal. That's it! Easy Peasy. This event is open to all, so don't wait.

A Quilt show to kick off the Maine Potato Blossom Festival in Fort Fairfield, Maine. This show was very reminiscent of our guild's shows at the old courthouse during the Blooming Arts Festival. We've had visitors to Ladies of the Lakes Quilters from this guild in northern Maine. This was such a nice show and I especially loved the bed turning.

After much discussion and consideration, the board members have decided that it is in the best interest of the membership to CANCEL our October meeting. Our October speaker has cancelled and due to the fact that many members may still not have power or internet, or that the roads may not be completely safe, we would rather err on the side of caution and safety for our membership. If the word does not completey get out, Sue Tanner will be at the church on Thursday to let those who do not get the information know. Sue will also have tickets for the February luncheon with her if you would like to get your tickets. Please spread the word and we will be together again in November. Stay Safe!
