We are having a sleepover tonight and the girls are having a lot of fun. Girls in grades 5th-up were invited to come with a guest. We are happy to invite Jaziah and Hermonic as our first time guest. The girls did get acquainted games; played board games; watched movies and made rubber band bracelets. We thank the staff for volunteering to spend time with the girls.

Congratulations to our very own Kennedy Davenport and Emma Pierre Charles for their recent graduation from high school. Kennedy graduated from Harrison School for the Arts and Emma graduated from Lakeland High School.

Kennedy will be attending Edward Waters
University in the fall and Emma will be attending Polk State College.

We wish them both the best as they pursue their dreams. We are proud of both of them.

Our annual Prodigy Showcase was a great success. Hats off to our culinary arts students and our Prodigy Choir for a job well done. We especially thank our Prodigy instructors, Ms. Stacy Hickman and Ms. Qiana Davenport for their commitment and dedication to the girls and to our Prodigy program. We also thank the University Area Community Development Corporation, the State of Florida, and the Department of Juvenile Justice for their partnership and commitment to our youth and our community.
