Polk ABATE will be at Lakeland Harley Davidson today, Sunday March 29th cooking Burgers and Dogs, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Harley provides the food, ABATE provides the labor.
Come out get a free lunch and hang out with us!

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, U.S. Army Reserve Major Cody Khork – who was killed in the line of duty serving his country in the Middle East – will return home to Polk County.

Sometime after 1:00 p.m. that afternoon, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and partnering agencies will es**rt his remains from the Lakeland Linder International Airport to Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Winter Haven. This map illustrates the route – please be advised that traffic along this route will be stopped and/or congested for approximately two hours from the time the procession leaves the airport and arrives in Winter Haven.

Thank you in advance for your patience and respect as we bring Major Khork home for his memorial service.

Those kids have enough medical issues to worry about. A toy helps take their minds off their problems.

This is the Red Top Pit Stop. A favorite stop for many years. We will be having our motorcycle rodeo there on May 9th. Stop in and say hello and eat some delicious barbecue.
