This Islamic tenet serves as a reminder that our differences in race, religion, nationality and economic status are all by design, and we are instructed to get to know one another and learn from one another. The only measure by which an individual is judged is their righteousness and piety.

SUPER EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT
ISGL Partners with ADOPT-A-ROAD

This is a SUPER EXCITING announcement...please read.

The Islamic Society of Greater Lakeland Inc. (ISGL) has partnered with Keep Polk County Beautiful and their Adopt-A-Road program. The purpose is to provide continued positive exposure of Islam here in Lakeland and Polk County.

- ISGL has officially adopted a one-mile stretch of road cleanup.

- This one-mile stretch is on Griffin Rd, starting at Kathleen Rd by Publix and traveling east until Victory Church.

- The county will place official recognition signs on Griffin Rd recognizing the Islamic Society of Greater Lakeland Inc. for providing the litter cleanup.

- This is a great community service and volunteer opportunity as well. We will meet every six weeks for the cleanup, which should take only one hour. The date, time, and sign-ups for the cleanups will be posted on the page. Please stay tuned.
