Lanette Edwards attended the COPE Convention for Florida AFL-CIO AFL-CIO with West Central Florida Labor Council and had a good time meeting her brothers and sisters from all over the State. Good speakers at the convention. See photos. It's a great time to share with like minded individuals that we have to work together and save our country at the next elections.

If you want to help us to get out the vote, please let us know. We'll be helping with elections from all over the state from Mayor and City Commissioners to Senate and House races to Attorney General to Governor of Florida. 🙋‍♂️ 🙋‍♀️

Lanette Edwards attended the National AFL-CIO this week. She is our own member and Staff for UFCW 1625. She was a delegate for West Central Florida Labor Council in Minnesota. Heard some wonderful and enlightening speeches. Our United Food and Commercial Workers International Union President, Milton Jones gave a really enlightening speech on AI in the workplace and how it affects us, the worker and consumer. We voted on a resolution to get legislation passed addressing this issue. Also, attended a lot of training to bring back to our members. Met a lot of fellow Union members from 65 different unions who were present. The SOLIDARITY was very powerful at this convention.

This is what it’s about- our 1625 members stepping up. Katie, a steward from one of our hospitals, was a featured panelist speaking on mental health at the Women’s Network Convention. We are so proud of Katie. She really made us look good and even received a standing ovation!
