What is the number one type of grievance you have to file?

My very first grievance was an EP/Removal. After that, I primarily dealt with Article 8 violations. Since 2022, the main violations are Discipline files.

They come in phases, just like the post office has a "flavor or the month".

What types of grievances have you filed?

Omgoodness, there's way too many. I have filed on Articles 1, 5, 7, 8, 10, 15, 16, 17, 19, 25, 30, 31, 41. To date, I have not lost a Discipline file, and have received more than 150k dollars in grievance awards paid directly to the carriers.

What is the first step to being involved within the union?

To me, after you join, the first step is to get involved. How can you do that? Attend meetings. They are only once a month. Start volunteering for whatever you can. Start reading as much as you can.
