Come visit the Lakeland Police Explorers Post 602 at Booths 38 & 130 where we’ll have ice cold water available for a $2.00 donation. We are also accepting additional donations to help support our Explorers as they work toward attending delegates, competing at state, and reaching their big goal of securing their own program van.

Catch our Explorers at Mayfaire by the Lake on May 9th & 10th, where they’ll be selling ice-cold water for $2 and accepting donations to help fund their mission.

These Explorers put in work year-round—training, serving, and preparing for delegate trips and state competition—all while working toward a big goal: securing their own program van. This van will be a game-changer for getting to trainings, events, and competitions.

BIG moves from Explorer Mitchell-Marr 💯🎓

She just graduated from Polk State College with her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice—and if that wasn’t enough… she was also the 2024 Valedictorian when she earned her AA from Polk State Gateway to Collegiate. Talk about setting the standard 👏

She’s not slowing down either— Explorer Mitchell-Marr is locked in on becoming a Public Safety Aide to keep building experience before reaching her ultimate goal of becoming a Lakeland Police Officer 🚔

At LakelandPD’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, our LPD Explorers were recognized for their incredible commitment and service throughout 2025. 💙

Explorer Walker was honored as Explorer of the Year and received a 500-hour service pin. Explorers Doughty and Cline earned 100-hour service pins, while Explorers Mitchell-Marr, Williams, and Showers were each recognized with 500-hour service pins.

Explorers Smith, Mendoza-Miles, Henderson, Argillander, and Morales were also in attendance and recognized for their contributions.

We’re proud of their hard work, dedication, and the countless hours they’ve given back to our community. Keep leading the way! 🏆🚔
