Good morning- per our discussion at the meeting Tuesday night I am going to be leaning heavier on mass communication and less on one on one to prioritize my work time and monopolize on my personal time.
Please put calendar where available for reference and if your child is an officer, I had specialized calendars made for them. They should be writing in them, updating them, sharing them with you, and bringing them to officer meetings to add events.
We are 1/2 way through the year, responsibility needs to increase. FFA is the largest STUDENT LED organization in the world. At this point in the school year, it needs to be less Mrs Lynn and more officers. Students who “just didn’t see the text” or get a new phone number and don’t tell me is unacceptable. They will miss out on opportunities.
As also discussed, I will not be able to transport students as I have in the past. Occasionally it is appropriate, but not as frequently as had become the pattern. I know this means that some students will miss out, and for that, I am sorry. But, again, I must monopolize on the time I spend with my own family.
If you did not attend Tuesday’s meeting, you were missed. All of the handouts are pictured below. In my experience as an advisor and a parent of FFA members, those who attend alumni meetings are more involved, more in-the-know, and their students wind up with more opportunities. We meet once a month, usually on the last Thursday of the month/ with occasional other meetings. Our next alumni meeting is Feb 27 at 7pm. I hope that you will attend.

Wow! No words for the pride I felt last night! I took no photos, but my daughter took 800 and we will give you access to the Google drive so you can pick and choose whatever photos you would like to save.
In the meantime, feel free to share your favorites you took here!
I’m so proud of your children. They are becoming amazing people.
If they received a green shirt last night, they are permitted to wear it on Monday.

TIME CHANGE!!!!
We are going to have the alumni meeting THIS Thursday, April 18 at 7:30! That is the same night as Mission Transition (preview for incoming 6th graders). At this meeting we will discuss new officers, spaghetti fundraiser, banquet/awards night, convention, June UF event in Ona, and Forestry Camp! Please attend if ANY of this applies to you! Again, we will start our meeting at 730!
