Back in February we had our annual international Evaluation and Speech Contest we congratulate our winners for the contest and we thank the help from District 30 for helping us put on the contest.

Congratulations to Craig our Contest Chair on a successful contest. He did a tremendous job and will get credit in his Pathways Level 5 High Performance Leadership.

Thank you to our guest Contest Toastmaster and our dear friend John Labbe from Mount Prospect Toastmasters for helping us with the contest.
And thank you to all the functionaries and guests. You helped make the contest fun and successful. We look forward to our next contest and seeing the winners from this contest as they go to the next round! Again we meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at Ela Library in Lake Zurich! We also have a zoom link as we are a hybrid club dm us for that link as it is available via DM only because of an unforeseen event that happened in the past.

FYI we have changed locations for our meetings! We are now meeting at the Ela Area Library and the Barrington Area Library as a backup! We will still be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. We look forward to meeting you and hopefully having you join our club, we welcome everyone! Hi everyone, hope you all are doing great as we are! Here are some pictures from some of our last few meetings! We have permanently moved out of the Holiday Inn on Rand Road and our new meeting spots are the Ela Area Library at 275 Mohawk Trail, Lake Zurich, IL 60047 and sometimes we will meet at the Barrington Area Library at 505 Northwest Hwy, Barrington, IL 60010 or on Zoom as we are a Hybrid Club. We will continue to meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. We welcome anyone to come and join us for our meetings and to even to join our club! We are the oldest club in the state of Illinois as we have been around for over 80 years and we will continue to be a force for the public speaking community of the Chicagoland area and Toastmasters District 30, but for the whole state of Illinois! Join us for our next meeting next week Tuesday at the Barrington Area Library address listed above at 7:00 PM we can’t wait to see you, meet you, and hopefully have you join our club!

Big thanks to everyone who came to our meeting tonight as we are still hybrid post covid we thank our Humorist Nandine, John for Table topics, Awanee as Speaker 1, Nandine as Speaker 2 on her first speech as she did her Icebreaker, and Valerie as our last speaker for the night! We also thank our evaluators tonight also! We also thank our four guests who came to our meeting! For those not familiar when we meet two times a month every other week at 7:00 PM. Our next meeting is July 11th We meet in person at the Lake Zurich Holiday Inn conference room located at 197 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047 and on zoom! I felt that I was starting to obnubilate my chances of advancement because I didn't know how to speak up in meetings. Long Grove/Lake Zurich Toastmasters helped me grow into a more luculent and confident speaker.
