Since 1936 we've provided thousands of kids an unforgettable experience that includes adventure, fun, and friendship! Camp Thunderbird has nationally recognized water programs, including wakeboarding, water skiing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, water slides and “the Blob”. We offer 28 land activities including horseback riding, skating, high and low ropes courses, sports, and crafts. Our resident camp provides boys and girls an exciting, safe experience that they will remember for a lifetime.

My son is at overnight camp for the first time. And I'm so excited he's having this experience. But the no communication thing is almost criminal. How am I supposed to know what's going on down there?

Carnival Tonight!! Due to inclement weather on Monday afternoon, we moved the carnival festivities to tonight!! The campers are going to enjoy inflatables, dunking booths, amusement rides and games! And sno cones!!

Kudos to all of these campers for performing on stage in front of the entire camp! Mission accomplished!!

Other talent show acts included Kristina and Olivia from Cabin 35 who got everyone to stand up, arm and arm and sing Lean on Me. It was fantastic!! We also had Porter with incredible noises, Reese from Cabin 5 with a dance, Valentin and Joseph from France singing their country's national anthem, Hollis and Georgia from Cabin 1 dancing and lots of other awesome acts.

The CIT's put on an AMAZING Talent show called MISSION AMERICA! Some of the acts included Steffi from Cabin 25 on the guitar, Steele from Cabin 12 singing Justin Bieber, Abbi and Michael withh gymnastics, Joey on his electric guitar, Grayson from Cabin 15 with awesome yoyo skills, Harrison from Cabin 14 singing Sweet Child of Mine, Gillian singing Our Song by Taylor Swift!

FOURTH OF JULY CARNIVAL AND FIREWORKS TONIGHT!

After lunch we had a BIG intro of our own Camp SECURITY team. Dressed in black shirts our Security Team circled the Dining Hall in a special ops vehicle and busted through the doors with their super soaker and water blaster water guns! Counselors and campers were sprayed with water while our fearless SUPERHERO Food Service Director Teresa brought out her own fire hydrant of a hose and let loose! It was awesome!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!! Many campers wearing red, white and blue just had delicous tacos for lunch with choco tacos for dessert!
