BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!
We have not been on fb lately as we have been working hard behind the scenes planning our big move from South Florida to Northern Michigan. We will be bringing a total of 27 horses on this journey north to what will hopefully be a wonderful new place to live out the rest of their lives in a beautiful and tranquil setting. We have acquired a gorgeous 50 acre property out on a peninsula surrounded by water.
We came to this decision after experiencing the horrible summer last year. Our horses (many in their late 20's and 30's) struggled every day to breathe and sweat and we fought summer sores and skin problems all summer long. It was hard to watch them suffer. We are hoping now they can live out there lives in peace. We are all looking forward to the change of cooler weather, no hurricanes and opportunities to help make a difference in the lives of our sanctuary horses as well as new horses that might need us!
The cost of this move is substantial. It will cost over $1600 per horse to ship them up there. They will be laying over a few days to break up the trip. Any help you can give would greatly appreciated!! We will keep everyone posted and add many pictures as we make this journey in the end of June.
Stay tuned!
