The choice in Haiti is clear to me now: either you support stability and progress or you choose terror and instability. Armed criminal groups and their allies can only bring terror and anarchy; they cannot bring democracy, only further disarray and mayhem, regardless of how they came about. Once an animal is born, it grows beyond its initial size and will voraciously consumes what it needs to maintain its growing bulk. Local gangs have grown from cubs to lions and now have the ability to attract and compel desperate politicians to seek their blessings. We must always remember that a serpent does not change over time, it just gets bigger and stronger. Any group that supports, condones or attempts to provide a moral cover to the armed criminal groups that are terrorizing the defenseless Haitian population is not just an enabler but another terrorist group. Now that the Ariel government is fast becoming a part of history, we must focus on building a unified front to address the rebuilding needs of our country and society.

EVENT: Louverture family picnic
LCS invites you to a family picnic to honor and celebrate the 284th anniversary of the birth of Governor General Francois Dominique Toussaint Louverture, the grandfather of Haiti, on May 19, 2024 at Dania Beach, Florida, from 10 am to 6 pm. This is a free event at the Osprey pavillon, but the park charges $4-6.00 per car for entry. LCS promises a day of fun and edcutional activities for both children and adults. Gather the family, get the hot dogs, burgers and buns and fill the cooler for a day at the beach.
