PLEASE SHARE!

Our friend, Tarnette, mother of incarcerated Bending the Bars artist, Ciara, is facing imminent eviction. This is a particularly difficult time for Tarnette, having tragically lost one daughter, Ciara’s sister, and still constantly battling for Ciara’s freedom.

Let’s keep Tarnette HOUSED!

Ciara’s family is dealing with a terrible tragedy. Last week, her little sister, Alexis Warren, died in a hospital in South Florida.

Alexis was only 26 years old and had just gotten her real estate license and became a notary. She was into fashion and opened a boutique to do lashes. She had breast cancer, and when it got to stage 4, it became aggressive. It’s so heartbreaking!

Especially for her mother, Tarnette, who has to grieve the loss of her daughter to cancer while her other daughter is locked in jail by a cruel system. Now, she needs to figure out how to pay for the funeral and burial costs alone while working a low-wage job.

Urgent phone zap for Steven Passmore! Steven Passmore was supposed to be moved to a halfway house in 2024 -
SO WHY IS HE STILL IN FEDERAL PRISON?

Steven Passmore is long past his Second Chance Act community transition date and a month past his First Step Act community transition date.

He has been given several dates to leave Yazoo City, including Jan. 20 and Feb. 28, creating a burden of uncertainty upon his family, friends, and himself.

The ACLU has brought a class action lawsuit with persons like Mr. Passmore, who have been over- incarcerated past their FSA release date. Call The Federal Correctional Complex, Yazoo City

And ask why he has not been transferred to a halfway house or home confinement!

The numbers we are trying are: (662) 751-4800 and (202) 307-3198

Say you are calling to speak with the warden or associate warden to ask why Steven Passmore has not yet been transferred out of prison!

*We don’t yet know the best number to call, so please comment to let us know if you get through!

We have received multiple complaints from people incarcerated inside Palm Beach County’s main jail (Gunclub), and people who have just been released, telling us that the AC IS OUT and guards are not responding to legitimate health complaints! This is extremely dangerous in the Florida summer.

CALL OR EMAIL PBSO and tell them this is inhumane and unacceptable!
CALL : 561-688-4431
EMAIL: [email protected]

I am calling/writing to formally file a complaint regarding the inhumane conditions at the Palm Beach County Main Jail. It has come to my attention that the jail has been experiencing persistent issues with its air conditioning system. Given the extreme heat, this situation poses a severe health risk to those incarcerated within the facility.
It is unacceptable that the people inside are subjected to such hazardous conditions. Moreover, I have been informed that they face retaliation when they voice complaints or seek assistance regarding this matter.
I urge the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office to address this issue with the seriousness and urgency it demands. Ensuring that the air conditioning system is promptly repaired and maintained should be a top priority of health and safety.
I look forward to your prompt response and to seeing swift action taken to rectify this situation.
Help this post reach more people: Tell us how hot it is in your city!
