Prosper Lake Worth Beach

Prosper Lake Worth Beach Prosper LWB is focused on enhancing the quality of life and prosperity of LWB residents & businesses.

We got started the same way a lot of great ideas do -- with a pint and a bold idea. That idea was to create a community partnership between residents and businesses to bring a unified voice to Lake Worth Beach issues. Our focus is local and our mission is to enhance the quality of life and prosperity of Lake Worth Beach residents and businesses. We are a community and grassroots coalition made up

of residents, businesses, and stakeholders. We are volunteers and are committed to making a positive difference. We focus on education, advocacy, and mobilization around city policies and programs that affect our daily lives. We share a vision for Lake Worth Beach that is safe, welcoming and full of opportunity for all who call this city home. Membership in the coalition is free and is open to those who share our vision for a prosperous Lake Worth Beach. We meet monthly to share ideas, talk about city issues, and focus on programs and opportunities that can move our city forward in a positive direction.

The Weiner Museum of Decorative Arts (WModa) wants to relocate
to Lake Worth Beach. This project would solidify the city's reputation as the City of the Arts. It would complement the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts, the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, and the renowned Legacy Lake Worth Street Painting Festival, three art destinations for the city. This will not be just a museum. It will be a "cultural arts campus" with a focus on free art classes for children and seniors. There will also be a cafe, bookstore and community classrooms. The project would bring much-needed foot traffic to downtown businesses, helping them survive and thrive. The museum will help Lake Worth Beach become a true destination and will promote tourism to our city by the sea. Imagine folks catching the train to Lake Worth Beach for a weekend getaway, hopping into the Circuit car at disembarkation and being transported to the newly opened waterfront Gulfstream Hotel that is an easy walk to the town's art galleries, shops and restaurants!! The museum will be holding a public charette the end of May to get community input on the project. Please attend and share your ideas and vision for this project. More to come later. If you missed the April 8 virtual presentation, here it is. Share it with a friend.

Farmworker Coordinating Council does so much good in our community lifting people up. Thank you for helping this homeless man find a home and in the process giving him his dignity back.

Mr. Little moved from Georgia to Belle Glade to find a job. Our Farmworker Council case manager met him during an outreach activity where he learned about our services. He was homeless and had been living in his car for the past 6 months. He was not able to find a job due to illness and could not receive healthcare services because he lacked health insurance. The case manager referred Mr. Little to the Health Care District, which was able to provide the healthcare that he needed. The case manager also helped him find a job, and in November 2023, he was hired by a company in Belle Glade. The agency assisted him in finding an apartment and provided him with one month of rental assistance. Mr. Little also received other services from the agency such as food, financial literacy workshops, support groups, referrals, transportation, and other essentials. Mr. Little is so grateful for the support he received. He has regained his health and is very happy with his job and his apartment. He is on track to become self-sufficient. http://www.farmworkercouncil.com/
