We are out here today getting a head start on our current project house—mowing down the overgrown yard and tackling some essential car repairs for our resident.
While we are here today, we are mapping out the big projects for next weekend's Work Day on Saturday, June 20th. We’ll be pressure washing, cleaning flowerbeds, fixing screen doors, and removing boards from windows.
We supply all the tools, but we need the community to help us cross the finish line!

We are excited to officially announce that Lake Wales Passion Project is now Polk County Passion Project Inc.

This change represents growth, expansion, and a renewed commitment to serve more people throughout our community.

As our mission continued to develop, it became clear that the needs we are addressing extend beyond Lake Wales. By transitioning to Polk County Passion Project, we are expanding our reach to serve individuals and families across all of Polk County.

Our focus remains centered on helping:

• People with disabilities
• Seniors
• Veterans
• Low-income families

Our goal is to help provide a safe, comfortable home and yard environment for those who need assistance the most. Whether it involves minor repairs, yard work, accessibility improvements, or community support projects, we are committed to meeting real needs with practical solutions.

This restructuring has also strengthened the organization internally. We have expanded our Board of Directors and implemented stronger governance practices to ensure accountability, transparency, and long-term sustainability. A broader leadership structure allows us to grow responsibly and become more productive and effective for the people of Polk County.

We are currently in the process of creating the official Polk County Passion Project website. Moving forward, we will be adding regular updates, project highlights, and organizational information to demonstrate our continued commitment to serving Polk County with integrity and transparency.

The heart of our mission has not changed — only our capacity to serve has grown.

Good morning, everyone. I am currently working on cleanup around the Lake Wales History Museum from 7 am to9:00 a.m7:00 a.m.m. We are working on cleaning and making repairs to make the museum more presentable for the public.

I am reaching out to ask for any volunteers who would be able to help out. Just let me know, and just know that it would be very appreciated.

Concrete Planter Box Transformation at Lake Wales History Museum
What started as a crumbling, weathered mess is now fully restored and looking fresh again! We repaired cracks, rebuilt the ledges, and brought this classic concrete planter box back to life.
 Cleaned out debris.
 Reinforced with fresh mortar.
 Patched & reshaped damaged sections.
 Final coat of paint for a clean, finished look!
Restoring even the smallest features makes a substantial impact on the property.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve officially received our Florida State Articles of Incorporation and our Federal EIN! 🙌 This is a huge step forward in establishing our organization and laying the legal foundation to better serve our community.
We are now actively working on the next phase—filing for our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status with the IRS. Once approved, this will open even more doors for support, funding, and opportunities to make a lasting impact.
